Following rapid UK expansion, we’ve opened a brand new HQ in the heart of Brighton and are building a high-energy, high-reward sales team.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you’ll play a key role in driving new business for Base.com by identifying, engaging, and converting eCommerce brands into long-term platform users.
You’ll work from our Brighton HQ, collaborating closely with SDRs, marketing, and our product team to deliver value to UK-based sellers — especially those on Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and other marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the full sales cycle: from discovery to demo to close
* Convert qualified leads passed by SDRs and marketing into paying customers
* Understand customer pain points and clearly communicate how Base.com solves them
* Deliver tailored product demos and consultations to eCommerce brands
* Track progress in HubSpot CRM and manage a clean, up-to-date pipeline
* Hit and exceed monthly targets for closed deals and revenue
* Provide market feedback to the product and marketing teams
What We’re Looking For
* 2+ years experience in B2B SaaS or eCommerce tech sales
* Strong understanding of the eCommerce retail landscape (Shopify, marketplaces, multichannel selling)
* A natural closer with strong discovery, demo, and negotiation skills
* Energetic, ambitious, and target-driven
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
* Team player who thrives in a collaborative office culture
