Description
* Manage procurement activities to ensure the timely supply of goods and services.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
* Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing activities.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to meet business requirements.
* Work closely with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels.
* Analyse procurement data and prepare reports to support decision-making processes.
* Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
* Experience in procurement and supply chain management within the life science industry.
* Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
* Knowledge of procurement processes and relevant industry standards.
* Ability to analyse data and present insights effectively.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
Job Offer
* Competitive salary between £36,000 and £44,000 per annum.
* Generous holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays.
