Teacheractive are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in North Manchester. This is more than just a classroom support role – it’s an opportunity for the right person to gain invaluable experience, develop their skills, and take the first step towards a rewarding career in teaching.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work set. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting pupils’ progress.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent); A-levels or degree desirable.
Previous experience working with young people is advantageous.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and maintain a calm, productive classroom environment.
Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.
Support students with their learning and ensure work is completed.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
