We are seeking a motivated Junior Clinical Safety Officer passionate about patient safety and healthcare risk management. This full-time role involves participation in an on-call rota and offers opportunities to develop skills in digital clinical safety and career progression from Junior CSO to Clinical Safety Officer after completing relevant courses.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Support the Clinical Safety function in ensuring digital health solutions meet standards and regulations.
* Work under the guidance of a qualified Clinical Safety Officer.
* Ensure product compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
* Engage with clinicians and teams for safe design and implementation of products.
* Participate in clinical risk assessments and safety documentation.
* Assist in investigating and resolving safety issues.
* Promote safety culture and continuous improvement.
* Support external audits and implement recommendations.
* Participate in on-call and out-of-hours duties.
* Maintain personal clinical registration and competence.
* Assist with safety reports, hazard logs, clinical evaluations, and documentation for assigned products.
Skills & Experience
Must have:
* Current registration with a professional clinical body (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
* NHS informatics experience with EPR/software.
* Understanding of clinical workflows in healthcare settings.
* Knowledge of NHS and healthcare market dynamics.
Required skills:
* Organizational skills and positive attitude.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
* Patience and understanding.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Medical Device Regulation and standards DCB0129 and DCB0160.
* Attended or willing to attend an accredited CSO course.
* Understanding of system analysis and lifecycle management.
* Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Salesforce.
