Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our team in Trowbridge on a permanent Part-time basis.
We have a registered care home where five ladies with Learning Disabilities live and enjoy a great life.
As a Female Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these individuals. Each person has unique abilities and needs, and you will support them to live the life they choose.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* The ability to reduce social isolation of people with a learning disability.
* The ability to increase the independence and confidence of individuals with a learning disability.
* Enabling individuals with a learning disability to fully access their local communities.
Contract:
* Part-time, 30 hours per week.
All our services are 24-hour care. We prepare rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan your personal and social life!
* Shift times include days and weekends: 8-6pm, 3pm-8pm, 11am-6pm, 7am-6pm, 12noon-10pm.
* For sleep-ins, you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
*An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply).
