Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby.
On‑site parking, on‑site gym, plenty of training and development opportunities.
Hours 37.5 hours a week - shifts from 7.30 am – 6.30 pm, working 3‑4 days a week. This is based on a 3‑week rolling rota and working 1 in 3 weekends, 8 am – 6.30 pm.
Salary This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £41,659 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up-to-date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
* Experience (ideal) in a hospital, community or prison environment
Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary.
* Provide outstanding quality based patient‑centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards.
* Handle anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
