About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sunderland. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working within Key Stage 1 (KS1), supporting pupils in their early stages of education.
The role is expected to continue until at least the Christmas break, with a strong possibility of extension into the Spring term for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Supporting children’s academic and social development
Requirements
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
Up to 1 year of experience working in a primary school classroom
Experience within KS1 is highly desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach
