Deputy Manager: Retirement Housing with Meals Opportunity
Bield have a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Deputy Manager to join our team in Dundee at our Camperdown Court development. Camperdown Court provides a Retirement Housing with Meals service to tenants, aged 60 and over, who wish to retain their independence but also want to benefit from leaving the worries of making their own meals each day to someone else.
The Role:
As a Deputy Manager you will assist the Manager to manage the Retirement Housing with Meals service in order to ensure that the tenants receive a quality tenancy management and property maintenance service relating to the provision of their home, a flexible meals service offering high quality, freshly prepared meals and value for money.
You will also support the Manager ensuring all communal facilities offer a welcoming, secure and comfortable environment to tenants and members of the public, and encourage tenant involvement and engagement in making full use of these facilities.
Hours:
18 hours per week arranged as follows
1. Friday, 2.30pm - 5.30pm
2. Saturday and Sunday, 9.00am - 5.30pm, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Contract
This post is offered on a temporary basis for 3 months in the first instance.

Role Requirements:
14. Demonstrable work, personal or volunteering experience within a housing, social care or health services setting through which a thorough understanding of the needs of older people and services provided to older people has been gained
15. To be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with tenants, relatives, colleagues and other professionals including maintaining appropriate confidentiality
16. To have an awareness of the needs and rights of older people in supported housing
17. To be able to deal with emergency situations
18. Ability to manage and support small staff group (and volunteers if appropriate), experience of supervising a small team would be beneficial
19. Qualification in Housing or related discipline, HNC,/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent would be desirable
