Optimise by Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading subcontract engineering and manufacturing business in our area, producing components for industries such as Aerospace, offshore, and tooling.
They are seeking CNC Machinists to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The team comprises long-serving and highly skilled engineers. The successful candidate will work on varied machinery, producing components of different sizes and batch types. Experience with G-code programming for CNC Turners is required.
Overtime is available and paid at enhanced rates.
Duties
1. Set up and operate CNC machines for precision machining.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
3. Select and use appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling.
4. Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
5. Make adjustments to machine settings to maintain specifications.
6. Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
7. Perform routine maintenance on machines.
8. Familiarity with Fanuc controls is essential.
9. Maintain high standards of health & safety and workplace housekeeping.
10. Follow all quality procedures and processes.
11. Use measuring equipment to check work accuracy.
Essential Requirements
* Experience in CNC Turning, with machining accuracy of +/- .025
* Understanding of Fanuc CNC controls
* G-code programming skills are advantageous
* Apprentice-trained Mechanical Manufacturing or equivalent (desirable)
* Overhead Crane/Lifting Certification (advantage)
