A great opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a small, friendly engineering team at a well-equipped food manufacturing site in Middlesbrough. Working in a modern facility with current-generation machinery, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth production through planned and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery (e.g., flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters)
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults
* Support site improvements and maintain high standards of safety and hygiene
* Collaborate with production, hygiene, and technical teams
What We’re Looking For
* Mechanical & electrical engineering experience (essential)
* Comfortable working weekends Friday/Saturday/Sunday (12 hrs) /Monday (totaling 40hrs – 42hrs) (including bank holidays)
* 17th/18th Edition desirable
* Experience in FMCG or food production preferred
* Strong problem-solving skills and flow wrap experience is a bonus
