Lead Machine Learning Engineer (12‑month FTC) - 6238
At Irwin Mitchell, we’re using technology to make a real difference to people’s lives. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced ML Engineer to join us at a pivotal moment as we take our machine learning capability into full production.
This is a high‑profile role where you’ll help productionise a flagship ML solution how ML engineering and ML Ops are done across the business.
About You
What you’ll do:
1. Productionise existing ML models into live environments
2. Design and build scalable ML pipelines using Databricks and Azure
3. Implement robust ML Ops processes including deployment and monitoring
4. Influence architectural decisions and engineering standards
5. Work closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to deliver real business impact
What we’re looking for:
6. Proven experience as an ML Engineer at senior level
7. Strong engineering background (software or data engineering preferred)
8. Hands‑on experience with Databricks and ML Ops
9. Azure DevOps experience
10. Confident communicator who can work autonomously and gain stakeholder buy‑in
