Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within the nursery provision of a mainstream primary school in Skelmersdale. This is a full-time position, working 8.30am – 3.30pm, beginning after the Easter break and continuing until the end of the academic year. There is a strong possibility that the role could become permanent for the right candidate. The Role You will be supporting young children within the nursery provision, helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where pupils can develop socially, emotionally, and academically. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and early years team to support learning through play-based activities and structured tasks. You may be expected to assist with leading the room on occasion. Key Responsibilities •Supporting children aged 3–4 within the nursery classroom •Assisting with the delivery of engaging early years activities •Encouraging positive behaviour and social development •Supporting children with their learning, play, and personal development •Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff Requirements •Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (essential) •Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting •A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach •Strong communication and teamwork skills •A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young learners
