Based within the SEND Family Help Service, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with SEND and their families. You will hold a varied and rewarding caseload, completing assessments, developing Family Help plans and delivering creative, strengths-based interventions that improve outcomes and keep the child’s voice at the centre of all you do. You will work as part of a supportive, multi-agency team alongside colleagues in education, health and the voluntary sector, contributing to Family Help and safeguarding processes. The successful candidate will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with experience of working with children, young people and families. You will be confident in assessment, care planning and direct work, with a good understanding of safeguarding, child development, legislation and the needs of children and young people with SEND.
