The role
This role combines hands‑on project administration with people leadership. You will support Project Managers with the day‑to‑day running of projects while line managing and developing project support colleagues across JBA, helping to embed consistent, high‑quality project support practices and continuous improvement. You will lead and coordinate a distributed team of project support professionals, share learning, and drive improvement in how we set up, manage and report projects.
What you will be doing
* Support Project Managers with project administration including monthly reporting, invoicing, programme updates and payment follow‑up.
* Assist with resource planning, workload tracking and programme monitoring using Excel and MS Project.
* Provide oversight across multiple projects to ensure consistent, high‑quality project support.
* Set up, manage and audit Common Data Environments (CDEs) in line with JBA and client standards; manage project information in SharePoint including document control and archiving.
* Support quality assurance and compliance with internal procedures.
* Line manage, coach and mentor project support colleagues across JBA (including apprentices and early‑career colleagues), supporting development and progression.
* Coordinate meetings (agendas, minutes and action tracking) and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects running smoothly.
* Undertake land, utility and background searches to support project delivery.
* Contribute to JBA’s Project Support Community and help improve systems, templates and ways of working.

Essential attributes for the role
* Proven experience in a project support, project coordination or project administration role.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Clear communicator with a professional, collaborative approach.
Desirable attributes for the role
* Experience of line management, mentoring or day‑to‑day supervision of staff.
* Experience supporting engineering, environmental or consultancy projects.
* Familiarity with Common Data Environments and information management standards.
* Experience supporting apprentices or early‑career professionals.
* Interest in progressing towards senior operational or project management roles.
Location
The role will be based at our Coleshill, B46 1HT office.
