This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who not only excels in core Java development but also possesses a genuine interest and ideally some hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) development. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-performance Java-based solutions for our diverse client base, with the potential to contribute to and lead AI-driven initiatives.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of complex, scalable Java-based applications (e.g., microservices, APIs), setting technical direction and ensuring code qualitySolve intricate back-end architectural and performance challenges, identifying and implementing innovative solutions that enhance system efficiency and data integrityChampion Agile methodologies, leading ceremonies and driving best practices within development teamsManage project software aspects, ensuring development efforts align with overall project objectives and client needsDefine and lead version control strategies, ensuring best practices and resolving complexities across projects.Extract and clarify complex client requirements, translating them into technical solutions and building strong client relationshipsProactively acquire new skills and stay at the forefront of Java ecosystem trends (e.g., Spring Boot, Cloud Native, JVM advancements), guiding teams on technology adoptionActively mentor and coach mid-level and junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill developmentDrive innovation by introducing new methodologies and tools, leading change management initiativesFoster a highly collaborative team environment, ensuring smooth communication and integration among team members.RequirementsProfessional experience in Java developmentStrong proficiency in Java 8+ (ideally Java 11/17+)Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, SpringData JPA).Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA)Experience with RESTful API design and developmentProficiency with version control systems, particularly GitExperience with build tools like Maven or Gradle.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusUnderstanding of microservices architecture and distributed systemsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environmentProactive, self-motivated, and a continuous learnerA passion for delivering high-quality software solutionsConsultancy experience is a plus, demonstrating client-facing skills.These are the technologies we typically use.
