Shaftsbury Mews is looking to recruit a lead nurse to join the team. This is a full time 38.5 hours role.
Shaftesbury Mews is located in the Jordanstown area of Belfast, off the main road on the Antrim coastline. It offers residential and nursing support to 18 people, who are on the autism spectrum, or have a learning disability. The home can also support those with physical health needs and a brain injury.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a lead nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
* Provide specialist clinical knowledge, expertise and support to the nursing team and wider MDT.
* Have oversight of the clinical and care needs of all service users, supporting the primary nurses in working with patients, their families, community teams and other stakeholders in meeting the individual needs of each person.
* Ensure that proactive clinical risk assessment and management are at the centre of planning care and interventions with service users and colleagues Constructively reviewing and challenging nursing practice in the service, leading by example, and providing expert knowledge to the nursing and wider MDT on a speciality or individual patient basis

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse on a relevant part of the NMC register, with evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the service. They should hold a specialist qualification in a relevant clinical skill, such as DBT, CBT, or Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP). Additionally, the candidate must be a trained Practice Assessor or Supervisor and have a minimum of three years' experience within a relevant clinical setting.
