The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role supporting nuclear reactor inspections. Your responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating team work, managing Safety Documents, and maintaining specialised equipment. We seek candidates with a strong background in mechanical supervision and a commitment to safety and excellence.
1. Address unsafe working conditions, taking remedial action or escalating as needed.
2. Interpret and implement tasks, ensuring quality requirements are met.
3. Complete work within scope, time, and budget constraints.
4. Produce and maintain documentation, such as Assembly & Test Plans.
5. Maintain communication with sites and stakeholders regarding progress and issues.
This is a full-time role (37 hours, Monday-Thursday) based at Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Essential Experience
1. Experience in a Mechanical Engineering role.
2. Experience managing teams to deliver projects.
3. Experience handling tasks of varying complexities.
4. Strong communication skills and interdisciplinary interfacing abilities.
Qualifications
* Relevant engineering qualifications such as HNC/HND.
