Home Manager
HC-One Newton Aycliffe, England, United Kingdom
About The Role
As a Care Home Manager at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
In this role you will take responsibility for the well‑being of our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. You will lead, motivate and mentor your team, deliver clinical guidance and training and ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home. You will carry out assessments, develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans, monitor work areas and practices, promote independence, choice, dignity and respect, and strive for continuous improvement.
We’re looking for an experienced Care Home Manager. You’ll either hold a Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or will be willing to study for one. You should have leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams, conduct risk assessments and communicate with a resident or co‑worker in a truly considerate and kind manner.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; you must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if concerns arise, and undertake safeguarding training appropriate to your role. You must be able to seek appropriate advice, report concerns and, if action is not taken, raise an escalation.
About HC‑One
At HC‑One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them, so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
We present five qualities that everyone on the team shows up with, supports, and coaches each other every single day. We call these Kindness the HC‑One Way: curious – ask questions, look for clues, and seek to understand; compassionate – walk in the shoes of others; creative – yet practical, using imagination to make things happen; courageous – support residents to live the life they want; and counted on – be reliable.
We champion inclusivity, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows us to learn from each other and better represent the communities we serve.
Our dedicated, professional colleagues strive always to deliver outstanding care and we care about our talented teams too.
