NIGHT SHIFT WELDING SUPERVISOR NEEDED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!
Are you an experience Welding Supervisor, Welding Coordinator or Welding Chargehand who is happy working night shifts, and are you seeking a new permanent job to start in Telford?
We are looking for a Welding Supervisor to join a sheet metal manufacturer in Telford (Shropshire), this will be working a 12 hour night shift Monday to Thursday, the basic salary (including a monthly bonus) is just over £42K, and there are further overtime opportunities available paid at T1/2 Saturday & double time Sunday.
The hiring manager is ideally looking for someone with some previous welding supervising / welding team leader experience, but they would consider someone who has got a good welding / fabrication background who is looking for the next step into a Supervisory role.
You may be required to initially train on day shifts for the first 2-4 weeks before moving onto nights.
What You Will Do:
Oversee a team of 4-8 welders, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Monitor workflow and ensure efficient operations across a variety of welding projects.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide the team and maintain accuracy.
Provide hands-on support with welding tasks when time permits.
Manage batch sizes ranging from small one-off assemblies to large-scale, repeat orders.
Ensure the use of jigs for complex or repeat items to streamline production processes.
What You Will Bring:
Proven experience in welding and team supervision within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
