We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturing business based in Rochdale. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As the Assistant Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Accountant and play a key role in supporting the wider finance function by:
1. Ensuring financial records are accurate, timely, and reliable.
2. pleting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.
3. Conducting pliance checks to uphold financial control standards.
4. Supporting supplier management processes, including validating updates to masterfile data.
5. Assisting with the administration and oversight ofpany credit cards.
6. Contributing to monthly and year-end reporting tasks.
7. Posting journals and managing data interfaces from other systems.
8. Aiding in the preparation of statutory and regulatory submissions, and supporting both internal and external audits.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will:
9. Possess a solid understanding of balance sheet reporting, financial controls, and accounting systems and procedures.
10. Have experience in performing reconciliations and supporting audit processes.
11. Be a confident municator with strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and demonstrate high levels of accuracy and numeracy.
12. Be able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
13. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high professional standards.
