About the Role
Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Acute Oncology Nursing Service at Glangwili Hospital. The role supports patients admitted for complications of anti‑cancer treatment, complications of malignancy, or a new diagnosis of malignancy during an emergency admission, and contributes to the Health Board's Cancer Treatment Triage line.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and provide specialist oncology nursing advice to inpatient admissions.
* Support delivery and triage of the Health Board Cancer Treatment Triage line.
* Work autonomously, managing own workload and priorities.
* Provide specialist education and training to staff.
* Lead, innovate, negotiate and teach within the multidisciplinary team.
* Travel to other Health Board sites as required.
Working Hours & Schedule
This is a seven‑day working post, including weekend shifts pro‑rata.
Location & Travel
Base: Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen. Some travel to other Health Board sites is required.
Language & Diversity
Welsh language ability is desirable but not essential; English is required.
