At Ridge and Partners, we are a growing, multi-disciplinary built environment consultancy helping clients create better, more sustainable places for people to live, learn, work and play. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Bid Writer. We are looking for a confident, strategic thinker to take ownership of key bids and help shape the future of our work-winning efforts.

What you'll do:

* Lead the development of high-quality, strategic bids for priority opportunities across our core sectors.
* Work in close partnership with directors, technical leads and senior stakeholders to shape bid strategies and win themes.
* Provide expert guidance on structure, tone, and messaging, ensuring bids are aligned with client drivers and Ridge's differentiators.
* Drive the end-to-end bid process, from early bid qualification and storyboarding through to final submission and presentation preparation.
* Conduct interviews and workshops with subject matter experts to extract high-impact content.
* Develop, maintain, and continually improve our library of case studies, project experience, and boilerplate content.
* Coach and mentor junior bid writers and team members, supporting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

* Track and analyse bid outcomes and client feedback to inform future strategy and content.
* Ensure full compliance with client, legal, and commercial requirements on all submissions.

What you'll bring:

* Substantial experience in a senior bid writing role ideally within the built environment or related professional services sectors.
* Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling ability – able to articulate complex technical solutions in a persuasive, client-focused way.
* Proven track record of contributing to successful, high-value bids.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to challenge and influence at senior levels.
* Outstanding attention to detail, strategic thinking, and deadline management.
* A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to lead from the front.

Qualifications and Tools

* APMP Certification (preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word (required)
* Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and graphic design processes (desirable)
