Teaching Assistant - SEN - Watford - September Start
We are recruiting for full-time Teaching Assistant roles in Watford, supporting students with special educational needs including ASD, SEMH, SLD, MLD, and PMLD. These are long-term positions starting September 2025 in both mainstream and specialist settings.
The Role - Teaching Assistant in Watford
* Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning and behaviour
* Follow EHCP targets under the guidance of teachers and SENCOs
* Support with emotional regulation, sensory input, and daily routines
* Assist with personal care and mobility where needed
* Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, term-time only
What You Need
* Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
* Confident supporting students with ASD, SEMH, or complex learning needs
* Reliable, consistent, and able to follow structured plans
* Available full-time in Watford from September
Desirable Experience
* Experience using PECS, Makaton, or other visual communication tools
* Team Teach or similar de-escalation training
* Background in education, care, youth work, or therapy
