Pharos Generator Services (PGS), an RSK Group company, is hiring a Generator Engineer for a full‑time, permanent role in Exeter, South West, UK. The position reports to the South West Service Manager and involves maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems and related equipment at client sites and Pharos facilities.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
* Diagnosing, testing and performing remedial works on generators and associated equipment
* Providing call‑out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system
* Carrying out client site visits
* Projecting spare requirements for upcoming and planned work
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in generator engineering
* Mechanical diagnostic experience
* Qualified mechanical engineer or equivalent
* Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail
