Summary:
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you'll be responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring 100% inventory accuracy and maintaining compliance with Talgo's processes and ISO 9000 standards. You'll play a critical role in managing inventory, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain 100% inventory accuracy by tracking all inventory received, issued, transferred, and shipped
* Perform all data entry using the on-line inventory management system and document center
* Process all inventory transactions in accordance with Talgo's policies and procedures
* Conduct cycle counts of all inventory items
* Ensure warehouse and inventory control areas are clean, organized, and all items are properly labeled
* Verify shipment accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders
* Resolve discrepancies regarding inventoried items, materials, parts, components, and tools
* Share responsibility for seven-day/week warehouse coverage with fellow Inventory Control Specialists and the Lead
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations set by OSHA, Talgo Inc., and Amtrak
* Enforce applicable FRA, OSHA, FDA, and other agency rules, regulations, laws, and standards
Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year of SAP experience (preferred)
* Minimum of 6 months of experience in Material/Inventory Control, Warehouse, Forklift, Shipping/Receiving, or other Supply Chain duties
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
