Job Duties:
The Geography Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in geography to students. They will create a stimulating learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development. The teacher will also participate in parent-teacher meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
Required Qualifications:
A valid teaching qualification and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A degree in Geography or a related field. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for geography.
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field.
Experience:
Prior experience teaching geography at the secondary school level is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and inspire students. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Education. Experience in teaching diverse student populations.
Working Conditions:
The Geography Teacher will work in a school environment following the academic calendar. They may also be required to participate in extracurricular activities and school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
