About the Broker Support Executive
My client is a fast-growing direct to business lender in the UK, founded in 2020. They pride themselves on cutting the red tape, reduce the paperwork, and eliminate the hassle to get small businesses the finance their business needs fast.
After doubling the lending book in 2024, they are now focused on investing into Automation, Technology & tools to allow them to keep a competitive edge in the lending Ecosystem.
We are now looking for the 1st Data Scientist hire, this created a brilliant opportunity for someone to build a data dashboard from a blank piece of paper with real autonomy to make the function their own.
We are therefore looking for individual with experience in the SME Lending landscape who can bring idea’s around best practice & also enjoys building whilst analysing the data and communicating with internal stakeholders to influence risk based business decisions.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
* Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and potential brokers
* Provide regular updates via phone and written communication to brokers who have live deals
* Support the Broker Management team in onboarding brokers with the highest level of professionalism
* Gather feedback from brokers on the referral process, products, and any other relevant issues
* Channel feedback to the appropriate internal teams to drive product and service improvements
* Have a strong hold over the Loan application pipeline and liaise with the relevant internally and partnered brokers in order to get deals over the line
* Track, measure, and report on broker performance (including deals submitted and funded deals), engagement levels and referral quality
* Regularly update the Broker Management team on key metrics and relationship statuses to aid the focus of team resource to maximise broker strategy.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate data within CRM, assist in sales forecasting, and produce regular reports on broker performance and conversion rates
* Provide training to brokers about products, offerings, processes, and advantages via Zoom, Teams or face-to-face meetings on our criteria
* Assist in developing targeted campaigns to expand the broker base throughout the UK, qualify leads, and schedule initial meetings for our Broker Representatives, where required.
Essential Skills and Competencies
* 1 – 2 years of experience in a fintech or financial services company across a customer support, broker support, sales support or relationship manager role
* Demonstrated experience in managing administrative tasks and supporting internal teams
* Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Emerald) and data analysis tools.
* Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Substantial experience in telephone-based service, with the ability to manage and resolve broker queries effectively over the phone.
* Proven skills in handling and resolving conflicts in a professional manner.
* Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance frameworks.
