Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our busy and expanding Infrastructure business, supporting clients in delivering a range of water projects and programmes across the North West.
Owing to the complex nature of the works involved, this role is best suited to Senior Project Managers from a civil engineering background, ideally with previous water sector experience. NEC accreditation is also preferred.
At Turner & Townsend Senior Project Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, typically ranging from £1m to £10m. In supporting roles the project size may be far greater.
Responsibilities
* Lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery.
* Provide support on major Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for a specific aspect of service delivery.
* Ensure client objectives are met and that projects are delivered on time, to cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
Key Performance Indicators
* Projects are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently, on time and to budget.
* Project delivery meets the client’s objectives and is in line with the conditions of appointment.
* The project team is led effectively.
* Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross‑functional team.
* General line‑management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.
* Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross‑selling opportunities, are identified and acted upon.
* The internal financial status of all projects is effectively monitored.
* Key information and data is effectively cascaded and appropriately retained.
Qualifications
* NEC (3/4) accreditation (preferred).
* Preferred if chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, etc.
* Degree qualified in a construction‑related subject.
