This role begins September 2025. Duties as a Reception Year Teacher: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for young learners. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all children feel safe and valued. Foster a love for learning through play-based and creative activities. Assess children’s progress, record observations, and provide feedback to parents and carers. Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to learning. Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, encouraging independence and confidence. Promote a strong home-school partnership by engaging with parents and carers regularly. Ideal Reception Year Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Early Years, preferably in a Reception class. A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning. Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a calm and focused learning environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Reception Year Teacher. A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
