Job Overview
Manchester Local Care Organisation is an exciting new public sector organisation that brings together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Band 2/3 Support Workers to join our community team, supporting children with complex health needs in their own homes and local environments.
Responsibilities
* Support children with a range of abilities, including technology‑dependent care, in their own homes and local environments.
* Work with a multidisciplinary team of registered nurses and carers to deliver high‑quality care packages to children and young people.
* Respond to care needs across the Manchester area, travelling as required.
* Provide person‑centred care and support families in the community setting.
* Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service across a 24‑hour/7‑day period.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Highly motivated and dedicated individual.
* Compassionate and able to work well with children, families and a multidisciplinary team.
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
* Willingness to work flexibly across a 24‑hour/7‑day cycle.
* Commitment to progress through the Trust Clinical Support Worker Development Programme and, upon completion, move to Band 3 AfC.
