Job Summary:
Artek is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to support the smooth running of the company's store and inventory operations. The role involves receiving, checking, storing, and issuing materials while maintaining accurate stock records. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in receiving, unloading, and checking deliveries against purchase orders.
* Properly label, store, and organize goods to maintain a tidy and safe store area.
* Keep accurate records of stock movements and update inventory systems.
* Issue materials and equipment to departments as per requests.
* Perform regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
* Assist in preparing stock reports and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store.
* Support the Stores Supervisor/Manager in day-to-day operations.
Skills Required:
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Basic knowledge of inventory control and stock management
* Ability to operate store equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift – if certified)
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Basic computer skills (MS Office, stock management software)
* Ability to lift and move goods safely
Qualifications:
* Minimum of GCSE/High School Diploma or equivalent
* Prior experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory role preferred
* Forklift license/certification (advantage, not mandatory)
