Salary: £32,080 to £34,610 per annum (pro rata £24,710 to £26,659 per annum)

About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave from mid-July. You will work closely with the Head of Financial Control to provide a high-quality accounting service and robust financial control, ensuring the University meets its statutory obligations and objectives in the key areas of financial accounting, audit and tax compliance and treasury management.
About you
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in a similar role. They will understand the importance of the accurate and timely processing of financial data and a working knowledge of VAT. Experience of balance sheet control account reconciliations and accounting systems is essential coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain accounting concepts to people without a financial background.
