Offer description

As Third Party Coordinator, you will provide advice and assistance to the Project Delivery Team to ensure that potential customer and third-party problems are identified early, designed out where possible, or mitigated and resolved.

Responsibilities include:

1. Working with the Delivery Manager and the wider project team to identify customers, stakeholders (both internal and external), and third parties. Understand the challenges and risks associated with the delivery of capital projects through the completion of a Customer Impact Assessment and a Third Party Identification Checklist, which will aid the development of a project-specific communication strategy to manage associated risks. All assessments should be updated throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Creating a Stakeholder Management Plan to ensure effective customer and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle, with documented interactions and clear actions to address issues promptly and resolve them at the earliest opportunity.
3. Developing strong working relationships and communication channels with Planning, Landscape & Ecology, Access & Acquisitions, and the Area Engagement Lead to ensure all necessary permits and consents are in place before onsite work begins, thereby mitigating delays.
4. Following the company Project Delivery System, sharing relevant project information via ProjectWise, and contributing to weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to keep the project team informed.
5. Undertaking assurance activities, such as customer and site visits, to monitor project performance related to customer and third-party activities, and reviewing lessons learned for future projects.

The successful candidate will initially be assigned to projects in and around Carlisle but may support projects across Cumbria.

Qualifications and skills include:

* Enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.
* Effective communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and allocate resources effectively.
* Technical, commercial, and contractual awareness of medium to high complexity Water Industry Projects, with a degree or extensive experience in customer service and third-party activities in construction projects.
