The Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire has played a pivotal role in transforming support for victims of crime, including the creation of our nationally recognised and award-winning Beacon Victim Care Centre. Hertfordshire is also at the cutting edge with it’s innovative Chrysalis Centre, a multi-disciplinary hub to improve access to behavioural change services to support perpetrators of domestic abuse. The Office of Police and Crime Commissioner has also been instrumental in forging strong partnerships with local authorities to seize the opportunities of collaborative commissioning in anticipation of the new Victim and Prisoners Act.
The Head of Commissioning and Victim Services will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of high-quality services, ensuring they remain responsive to changing and emerging needs. You will also be responsible for developing strong partnership links, particularly with other commissioning bodies, working collaboratively to put in place exceptional VAWG advocacy services for the future. You will also be responsible for managing government victim services grants, providing detailed reports on grant allocation and outcomes.
