Bureau Technical Services are seeking multiple Senior Design Engineers to join a major Net Zero infrastructure project based in Teesside.
This isn't a traditional design role. Instead, you'll be reviewing designs, challenging them, and ensuring they can actually be built, playing a key role in how projects are delivered on site.
Responsibilities:
* Review designs across structural, geotechnical and temporary works
* Ensure designs are buildable and aligned with construction methods
* Identify risks early and drive resolution before they become issues
* Lead design reviews and provide technical assurance across projects
* Work closely with delivery, pre-construction and external consultants
* Act as a technical authority within the team
Requirements:
* Strong experience in temporary works and/or ground engineering
* Background in steel structures or concrete (foundations, heavy civils, industrial buildings)
* Ability to challenge designs and influence senior stakeholders
* Broad understanding of structural, geotechnical and construction methods
* Ideally Chartered (MICE / MIStructE), but strong non-chartered candidates considered
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
