Overview
At Banyards Taxis we are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to join our team. This posistion with Banyards Taxis will be a week day night driver as well as weekends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to passengers while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of local routes, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers. There is also potential for drivers to become employed due driver productivity.
Duties
* Transport passengers to their desired destinations in a safe and timely manner.
* Maintain knowledge of local traffic laws, routes, and regulations to ensure compliance.
* Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition by performing regular checks and basic maintenance at all times.
* Provide excellent customer service by engaging with passengers in a friendly and professional manner.
* Handle payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
* Report any accidents or incidents to the appropriate authorities as required.
* All training provided on site for drivers.
Requirements
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience as a commercial driver is preferred.
* Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and provide assistance when needed.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers with luggage or other items.
* Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices to ensure optimal performance of the taxi.
