The Regeneration team at Canterbury City Council is looking for a SENIOR REGENERATION MANAGER to join them.
Do you have a love for building projects? Are you passionate about taking physical development projects from concept to completion? If so, come and join us and play a pivotal role as part of the team delivering the council’s major land and property-based development projects. Canterbury already has a proven track record of delivering aspirational development projects such as the Marlowe Theatre, The Beaney - House of Art and Knowledge and The Riverside, and with an emerging Local Plan and ambitions for growth there are many more exciting opportunities ahead.

About this Senior Regeneration Manager role
This role will lead in coordinating the development, delivery and management of major land and property-based development projects.
Responsibilities include
* Ensure development projects are planned and delivered to maximise benefits to the council and community
* Prepare financial forecasts and appraisals; manage and monitor project budgets to control costs and create value
* Identify opportunities and threats to delivery of multiple projects and lead a programme delivering meaningful change to the district
* Collaborate with a team of colleagues to drive schemes from concept through development phases to physical delivery and completion
Working pattern
Monday to Friday, full-time 37 hours per week, permanent contract. The team operates a flexible hybrid working model. Some on-site presence may be required due to the nature of the role.
About you – the ideal Senior Regeneration Manager
Your knowledge
* Understand housing and regeneration issues and the local authority’s role in delivering regeneration projects
Your experience
* Evidence of leading and delivering significant regeneration, housing or building projects from conception to completion
* Experience of land and property disposals and acquisitions
Your qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in a development, property, construction or property management field, or demonstrated equivalent education through experience
