Our client’s nursery was founded in 2003 and is a converted old Victorian School building on the outskirts of Queensbury Village. Inside their setting you will find three floors that have been renovated over the years to create a spacious, warm and inviting environment for children from birth to age 5 with a capacity of 104 children daily.
The Role
They are looking for a Level 3 qualified practitioner with a genuine enthusiasm and passion for working with children to join their wonderful team on a fixed contract with the potential of a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents/carers at all times.
* Understand and care for all children's individual needs.
* Plan and prepare educational activities for all children in conjunction with the early year's foundation stage and their bespoke curriculum to meet children’s individual care and learning needs.
* Create a stimulating environment, creating awe and wonder for the children.
* Follow all policies, procedures and protocols at all times.
* Observe and record children's progress and development, participating in a key person system.
* Support colleagues and work as a team player at all times.
* Put the children's needs and interests first, understanding that all children are unique.
* Be a professional early year's practitioner, providing quality practice to the children.
* Understand safeguarding and safeguard the children at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
* Candidates must hold a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or above.
