Rolls Royce is seeking a commercially astute, technically credible leader who performs well under pressure. As a Project Manager, you will be fully accountable for delivering a complex, multi-million-pound programme from Preliminary Design Review (PDR) through to Final Design, Build, and delivery. This strategic project for NautIQ demands rigorous project management, stakeholder engagement, and disciplined governance.
You will report directly to the VP of Electrical Engineering and lead a cross-functional team to meet contractual milestones, managing risks, resources, and customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Leadership & Execution
* Support the Bid process for Final Design and Build, managing their execution to ensure successful handover and acceptance.
* Lead end-to-end project delivery during the Preliminary Design phase.
* Develop and manage integrated project plans, ensuring resource, budget, and timeline commitments are met.
* Own the project budget and oversee multi-million-pound financial delivery in line with contractual requirements.
Stakeholder Management
* Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and senior leadership.
* Lead complex stakeholder engagements, managing competing priorities and driving alignment across teams.
Risk & Change Management
* Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigations and escalating as needed.
* Manage scope and change control, ensuring effective communication and approvals for variations.
Governance & Reporting
* Provide clear reporting to leadership, programme boards, and committees.
* Ensure compliance with governance standards, stage gates, and quality protocols.
Team Leadership
* Lead and support a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative culture.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field, with a proven track record in delivering large, complex projects. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, financial acumen, and proficiency in project management tools are essential. Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP) and experience in defence or marine sectors are preferred. Understanding electrical systems or large-scale manufacturing is advantageous.
This role requires UK nationality and the ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
