Description
As part of a small and busy sensory team, the Sensory Technician assists the Sensory Panel Leaders in running sensory panels, supporting projects, and managing the sensory facility in Wokingham, Berkshire.
The role involves training and testing products across various categories, including food, beverage, personal, and household products.
Hours:
21 hours per week: 9am to 12pm Mondays, 8am to 2pm Tuesdays to Thursdays, with some flexibility on Mondays.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing and serving samples/materials for panel training and profiling.
* Sourcing and managing product deliveries, maintaining inventory.
* Preparing and cleaning the sensory panel area for sessions.
* Following research protocols and ensuring safety standards, including food hygiene (training provided).
* Maintaining and developing kitchen/laboratory SOPs.
* Managing supplies and stock levels.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong team player with good communication skills in English.
* Organized, with good time management and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10kg.
* Attention to detail and a passion for food preparation.
* Driving license and access to a car are desirable.
