The shift pattern for this post is Mon- Fri - dayshifts
The portering department consists of a large team throughout Glasgow Royal Infirmary providing patient care within a very busy hospital setting, tasks include: Transportation of patients throughout the hospital using various methods of equipment (trollies, chairs, beds) covering different needs of patient. Which include going up and down the link corridor.
- Transportation of dirt/ clean linen which includes the link corridor
- Transportation of waste throughout the hospital which includes going up and down the link corridor.
- collecting specimens
- Delivering urgent bloods
All training is provided onsite
Driving licence is not essential however would be advantageous
