About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Supply Chain Logistics Specialist to support global clinical trial programs during critical operational phases. This role focuses on providing end-to-end logistics oversight to ensure uninterrupted delivery of Investigational Medicinal Product to clinical sites and patients.
Operating in a hyper-care environment, you will play a key role in monitoring and driving shipment execution, resolving logistics issues, and ensuring supply continuity during time-sensitive milestones such as study start-up, major transfers, and database lock.
You will act as the primary logistics point of contact for assigned studies, coordinating closely with clinical study teams, trial supply managers, regional delivery leads, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supply Logistics Oversight
* Provide operational oversight of logistics activities for assigned clinical supply programs.
* Monitor and manage Stock Transfer Orders across internal and external networks.
* Ensure shipments are released and executed on time to meet clinical study timelines.
Study & Program Coordination
* Act as the primary logistics interface for study teams and supply chain stakeholders.
* Support alignment between clinical supply priorities, patient enrollment needs, and trial milestones.
* Provide clear and timely updates on shipment status, risks, and mitigation plans.
Shipment & Transfer Management
* Track shipment progress and proactively intervene in the event of delays, deviations, or risks.
* Coordinate urgent or temperature-sensitive deliveries and prioritize shipments where required.
* Work closely with depots, CMOs, and logistics providers to ensure seamless supply execution.
External Partner Management
* Coordinate with external partners such as CMOs, packagers, and depots to monitor transfer timelines and release readiness.
* Escalate delays or supply risks and work collaboratively to maintain study continuity.
Monitoring & Reporting
* Provide regular reporting on logistics performance, shipment execution, and STO health.
* Maintain visibility of critical risks, open issues, and escalation points.
* Support governance discussions and leadership updates during hyper-care phases.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Experience in clinical supply chain logistics within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO environment.
* Strong experience managing shipment execution, supply transfers, and issue resolution within global clinical trials.
* Familiarity with working with external partners such as CMOs, depots, and logistics providers.
* Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, time-critical operational environments.
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across global teams.
