We have a fantastic opportunity for an Inventory Accountant to join our team to provide support and business challenge predominantly relating to our non F1 & excluded inventory areas. This role is key in supporting the Finance team on their journey to becoming a World Class Finance function.
Key Accountabilities
* Detailed understanding of all costs associated with F1 inventory.
* Month end close activities including computation of F1 inventory usage and manufacturing process in line with clear accounting policies.
* Internal reporting of statutory inventory positions.
* Providing accurate and timely month end data for the finance business partnering team.
* Liaising with cost analyst team to help optimise the system information and accuracy.
* Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements, working closely with the business transformation and ERP optimisation teams to successfully implement solutions.
* Interrogate and challenge the system data to enable the business to place reliance on the numbers.
* Accounting for relevant inventory provisions.
* Supporting in the overall inventory roadmap to success to deliver valuated stock within the SAP system.
Candidate Profile
* The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Financial Professional (ACA/ACCA).
* Experience and understanding of Finance concepts and fundamentals.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of inventory management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Experience of analysing and interpreting large volumes of financial data.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
* Strong Interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work accurately in a fast moving, performance-oriented environment and to be agile and flexible in approach.
* Experience of SAP would be an advantage.
