As a Sales Manager in the Independent Software Vendor Business (ISV) at Amazon Web Services, you will have the opportunity to drive growth and shape the future of emerging technologies for high-potential software vendor customers. Your responsibilities include team management, scaling programs that drive adoption in named accounts, revenue, and market penetration across your assigned accounts.

In Australia, AWS ISV customers include innovative software vendors like SafetyCulture, Whispir, MYOB, SiteMinder, and CultureAmp.

Your role involves building and managing a talented sales team focused on revenue, adoption, and market penetration. The ideal candidate will have a sales management background in technology accounts, experience leading teams of account managers and sales reps engaging with CxO-level stakeholders, managing sales pipelines, and collaborating with AWS specialized sales, solutions architects, and partners. They should possess strategic and analytical thinking skills to address business, product, and technical challenges and be capable of building compelling value propositions and fostering cross-organizational consensus.


Key job responsibilities

1. Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
2. Invent and simplify solutions to scale customer impact.
3. Drive & accelerate adoption in assigned accounts.
4. Develop a long-term vision with flexible short-term tactics.
5. Manage multiple accounts strategically.
6. Maintain a robust customer pipeline.
7. Collaborate with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
8. Ensure customer satisfaction.


About the team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for revenue, adoption, and growth across small, mid-market, and enterprise accounts, including the public sector.

Qualifications include:

* 10+ years of technology-related sales, business development, or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of sales management experience
* Experience managing large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
* Experience in a customer-facing technology role or equivalent
* Proven ability to negotiate complex deals with customers and partners
