L3Harris in Brighton are part of our Release Systems & Antennas division operating in the Aerospace domain. For over 70 years, L3Harris has designed and developed industry-leading carriage and release systems for fighter, rotary-wing and unmanned platforms and we design, manufacture and test a large portion of our release systems portfolio in our Brighton facility which offers 48,500 square feet of manufacturing space. Our mission-critical release systems equipment is on most major airborne fighter platforms worldwide, including the F-35, along with other aircraft like the Gripen and Typhoon.

Reporting to the Production Control Manager and the Stores Supervisor, the Stores Operative would cover all day-to-day stores duties with some support to Dispatch and Goods In. This also includes liaising with all Shop Floor Departments and Assembly Operators as required.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
10. Day to day picking of goods and booking in from Inspection.
11. Cover for Goods Inwards, Stores and Dispatch as required.
12. General stores functions, packing and weighing and counting parts into stock. This includes use of metal saw as required.
13. Kitting w/orders to the shopfloor.
14. Daily PA & Shelf Checks.
15. Annual participation in Stock Take.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
16. Minimum GSCE Equivalent Level C in Maths and English.
17. Works well in a team environment.
18. Capable of managing a number of tasks simultaneously without compromising accuracy and attention to detail.
19. Ability to work methodically and to follow tasks to conclusion.
20. Good communication skills and computer skills in MS Office.
Desirable
21. Worked in a Stores environment would be an advantage but not essential.
22. Forklift Qualification preferred but training can be offered to a successful candidate
