Where you fit in: We are looking for a skilled and creative Digital Product Designer to join our team, focusing on shaping engaging and user-centric website experiences. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX researchers, to deliver outstanding digital journeys for our customers. Some key responsibilities include the following - Design and develop user-friendly, innovative, and accessible website interfaces that align with Yorkshire Waters brand identity. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into intuitive digital solutions. Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform and refine designs. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts effectively. Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently. Maintain a deep understanding of web design trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement to digital platforms. Advocate for user-centered design principles and accessibility standards throughout the organisation. What skills & qualifications you will need: Proven experience as a Digital Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or a similar role, with a focus on website experiences. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar software. Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG). Ability to create responsive designs that work seamlessly across devices and platforms. Experience with user research techniques and data-driven design approaches. Collaborative and communicative team player, capable of articulating design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders. A portfolio showcasing previous work on digital product design projects, especially website improvements or redesigns. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. Creative problem-solver with attention to detail and a drive for innovation. Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
