Job Title: Senior Care Assistant Days
Salary: £15.84ph* plus incentives (*from 01.04.2026 £16ph)
Hours: Permanent Contract (7.30am-7.30pm, x3 shifts per week to include alternate weekends OR 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the following)
Location: Avenue House Nursing and Care Home, Rushden, NN10 0SN

About Avenue House Nursing And Care Home
Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home's architecture is modern regency style, providing the homeliness Jasmine seeks for its homes, while offering modern living accommodation. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care for 48 residents.
Role Responsibilities
* Providing the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting residents in all aspects of daily living.
* Promoting residents' independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, and supporting their physical and emotional wellbeing; provide input during shift handovers.
* Leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained and other team members feel supported.
* Completing daily medication rounds and documenting consistently, ensuring daily charts are completed to a high standard; lead the team on shifts you are responsible for.
* Promoting good practice in all aspects of care, challenging poor practice, ensuring one-to-ones for care and support team members every two months, and investigating complaints as directed by the Home Manager.
Role Requirements
* Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., NVQ/Diploma minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
* Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential/nursing home setting.
* Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
* Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of signs of abuse, and procedures to follow in case of an allegation.
* Reside within 30 minutes of the Home.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Leadership and people skills.
* A caring and nurturing attitude.
* Positive and enthusiastic outlook.
* Time management skills.
* Written and oral communication skills.
