The Vacancy
Job Purpose:
This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.
You will be the first point of contact for all maintenance issues at your allocated sites. You may be required to request specialist attendance following the initial call-out. This role also involves reactive and planned maintenance for food services and catering equipment, with training provided. Specialist attendance may again be required following the initial call-out.
The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs. You will ensure all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times. All work should be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with all Health and Safety legislation.
Key Accountabilities:
People

Performance
* Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales and response times.
* Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales, ensuring all paperwork is accurate.
* Respond promptly to service call requests, assess requirements, and carry out repairs.
* Identify non-repairable faults and advise the Line Manager with recommendations.
* Advise on-site management of repair issues affecting site operation.
* Carry out surveys and complete reports as required.
* Maintain standards of quality with company and customer staff.
* Perform minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
* Complete repairs on food service assets, complying with policies.
* Represent the company professionally and develop good relationships with clients and staff.
* Monitor and update the Mercury system with live job updates.
Process
* Comply with Health and Safety policies.
* Complete mandatory online training.
* Conduct emergency lighting tests and log repairs.
* Ensure compliance documentation is current.
* Communicate effectively with team and management.
* Follow purchase order procedures and ensure costs are approved.
Other
* Undertake other reasonable duties as required.
* Participate in a 1 in 4 standby on-call rota.
This role is responsible for logging material spending and purchasing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Minimum GCSE/Standard Grade, NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
* City and Guilds 2382 18th edition.
* Knowledge of 3-phase electrics.
* Ability to maintain and repair electrical and food service mechanical equipment.
* Quality, speed, and efficiency in repairs.
* Response and completion of PPMs within timescales.
* Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Full driving license.
