Shift patterns are as follows; early 07:30am - 13:30pm, mid shift 15:00pm to 21:00pm, and a long day is 07:30-19:30pm. Nights 20.00 - 08.00.

From 1 December 2025, enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday – 7am Monday). This does not apply to sleep-ins.

In the seaside village of Rustington in West Sussex, St Bridget’s is home for 38 physically disabled adults.
Care Assistant, Support Worker or similar experience is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for everyone!
As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire you will become part of a fantastic team. Every day is different, but here are just some of the duties you will do:
1. Assistance with daily life tasks including personal care, medication and mealtimes.
2. Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments.
3. Supporting our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
4. Maintain up to date and accurate records.
