Job Opening: APP Trainer and Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner in Worcester, MA
Seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our Worcester, MA practice as a primary care provider and APP Trainer. This full-time role involves:
1. Training newly hired Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including nurse practitioners and physician assistants within their first two years of employment.
2. Providing direct patient care, including managing acute and chronic conditions, preventive health services, and procedures such as IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, cervical exams, and prenatal care when appropriate.
3. Collaborating with the clinical team to deliver comprehensive patient care and participate in after-hours and weekend call rotations.
4. Reviewing APP charts initially and ongoing, and coordinating with MAVEN services.
5. Evaluating APPs based on competencies like history taking, physical exams, data analysis, management planning, procedures, and problem-solving.
Qualifications include eligibility to work in the EU, with a focus on primary care and training skills. Our team includes family physicians, internists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals, supported by medical interpreters and telehealth services.
